Technology tools

Whenever l hear someone say project l immediately think of technology and  presentations, in my opinion nowadays it comes all as a package. Technology is becoming a big part of our everyday life in our work, school, leisure time and as a result everything is evolving around it and so is teaching.

In this blog l am going to talk about the technology tools that are important for my students to use in the future and that will best will enhance their project work and presentations.
First of all l am going to talk about Trello this is a free and super easy to use tool for students, especially when working in groups. Multiple students can be added to the same board and they can collaborate for an assigned project, team work is easy to get accomplished with this one. Also here you can create workflow charts very easily.

Next l want to tell you about Cold Turkey. Students might not love this one but it's particularly important for teachers. It is a tool that allows you to block certain websites on the internet in general so that students can focus on their task. For example when l was in high school, some students would just listen to music on YouTube while we were in Technology class while others assignments and having a way to block them from having the opportunity to do that is amazing.

When it comes to presentations my all time favorite is Prezi which was also mentioned by my teacher but l couldn't not talk about it as l have been using it for so long in my school years. Since we all know presentations are the core of a project and when presenting you should also make sure to have your viewers attention, PowerPoint isn't terribly engaging but Prezi allows students to create creative and exciting presentations, plus students can create an account and post their works there so their classmates can check them out later on too.

Lastly l would say that the technology tools that are most important for my students to know how to use l think are two from the ones that my teacher introduced us: Blogger which l would want to use it in the future for their essay works, were students can not only share their work but also comment and read their classmates work, next is Dropbox to store their documents, videos and pictures which can be shared and accessible anywhere and anytime they need them. As for enhancing their project work and presentations Prezi will give them dozens of opportunities and ways on how to create creative presentations to tie their classmates interest into their work throughout the whole presentation.
